Ecole Française Greater Boston (EFGB) is a school that aims to provide francophone families a high-quality education. We are committed to guiding our students in their development; social, emotional and academic.

 

We offer programs from Toddler to 5th grade on three campuses located in Watertown and Cambridge. We are accredited by the French Ministry of Education and part of the Agence pour l'Enseignement Français à l'Étranger (AEFE). Our main goal is to foster a meaningful learning environment for all our students.

The FLAM Program

FLAM courses are intended for French-speaking students enrolled in American public or private schools. We give them the opportunity to learn French in a dynamic environment, through educational programs, projects and creative activities.   

We are currently looking for afterschool/weekend teachers who are fluent in French to support the children in acquiring the academic skills of the FLAM program in a caring environment.  This is a part time role, with schedule flexibility.  Classes are scheduled during after school hours and weekends in facilities around the Cambridge/Boston area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare courses and activities adapted to the students
  • Put the curriculum into practice according to the FLAM program
  • Define pedagogical objectives in connection with the evaluation grids
  • Maintain productive communication with parents of students

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Degree in Education preferred 
  • EEC Certification preferred
  • Proficiency in oral and written French a must
  • Prior experience as a teacher is preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
