Overview

Xovis is an innovative and successful Swiss high-tech company that develops and manufactures its own person tracking technology. Its AI-based, 3D optical sensors are used in the retail and airport industries. Xovis does business worldwide and has an office in Cambridge, MA to serve North America.

 

Xovis’ B2B customers in the United States are technology integrators and partners in the retail and public space people counting sectors that use Xovis sensors as part of their solution portfolio (Xovis does not sell sensors directly to retailers). To serve these customers even better, Xovis is looking for a regional director of this business unit with a strong understanding of technology, system integrators, and retail to jointly drive both business development and key account management efforts.

 

While this role will include some enrichment of existing customer relationships, it will primarily focus on building new ones with prospective system integrator partners working in IT for retail and many parallel industries. This person will help new integrators understand Xovis sensors' capabilities as they begin integration of the hardware products into their own software. After that phase, the job will include account management and ongoing support for these new clients. This role is a great opportunity for someone passionate about tech, retail, and entrepreneurship to build help out a dynamic and energetic team in a quickly growing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with new and existing integrators in retail and other public space people counting sectors across the United States/Canada and LATAM (in the future)
  • Work closely with large prospective integrators and retailers/end users to understand their business needs and demonstrate the value that Xovis can add
  • Do whatever it takes to close deals and move forward with implementation of the Xovis technology
  • Coordinate sales forecasting and budgeting functions
  • Realize and enhance company strategy while developing action plans and initiatives for North America in numerous sectors where people flow analytics can add value
  • Continuously monitor the retail environment and competitive market in order to identify opportunities to advance sales initiatives
  • Market Xovis’ technology using all suitable platforms
  • Address and resolve any client concerns to ensure the best possible experience with the system
  • Work closely with headquarters in Switzerland, especially the MD Retail and Inside Sales teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university (master's degree a plus)
  • A technical background and profound IT knowledge
  • Experience in the retail industry
  • Experience in account management, business development, client relationship management, or another consumer-oriented field
  • A track record of success developing accounts and managing technical projects
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creating new opportunities
  • Outgoing personality and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time, both domestically and internationally (dependent on local, state, and federal health regulations)
  • Foreign language skills a plus
