    The HR Advisor is responsible for providing a wide range of human resource functions to our clients, including but not limited to, employee guidelines, compliance training, recruitment, HR policy and HR procedures, HR Assessments and on-going advice on state and federal regulatory compliance.  This is a fast-paced position, that requires superb communication and written skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluation of client’s human resources plans and procedures; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manuals
    • Review and coordinate the client’s employment, employee/labor relations, personnel, and equal opportunity policies and practices
    • Plan and conduct HR audits; evaluate findings and prepare and present the results and recommendations to clients in the form of oral and written communications.
    • Responsible for assisting in the development of offer letters, job descriptions and other personnel documents and forms
    • Provides clients with employee relations counseling and coaching
    • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures client’s compliance
    • Provides Federal and State legislation compliance guidance pertaining to all HR matters
    • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in daily tasks
    • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices
    • Deliver responses to requests received from clients through email and by phone in a timely manner, including but not limited to issues that are sensitive in nature
    • Partner and work closely with Team Leaders or Department Head to ensure complex client issues are smoothly transitioned and escalated appropriately. 
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    • Ability to drive to client sites on occasion throughout New England area
    • Assist the Team Leaders or Department Head to develop scalable processes and procedures as they relate to the HR Services team providing exceptional customer service to our client
    • Participates in professional development sessions and trainings
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
    • Continues to educate oneself on new aspects and areas of compliance in payroll, benefits and human resources as the opportunity arises
    • Work on special projects for clients if needed

    Qualifications

    • Four-year degree in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience
    • At least 5 years of recent experience in a Human Resource Generalist role
    • Experience in interpreting, advising, analyzing and implementing policies and procedures
    • The verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group
    • The written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports
    • The ability to research, analyze and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative
    • Project management experience; i.e. implementing a project from conception to completion
    • Strong computer proficiency; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
