    The Coordinator of Enrollment is a critical member of operations at City on a Hill (CoaH) and is directly responsible for student enrollment as well as supporting the effective implementation of operational systems at the school level at New Bedford, MA location.


    Student Recruitment

    • Lead student recruitment efforts to ensure full enrollment at CoaH - Circuit Street and CoaH - Dudley Square in conjunction with the Operations Team
    • Implement all recruiting strategies in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) approved Enrollment Plan
    • Update and amend the enrollment plan and provide requested data for DESE reports as needed
    • Develop and enhance city-specific student recruitment strategies, including attending local high school fairs and taking appropriate action to ensure goals and objectives are met
    • Cultivate current relationships with high school placement coordinators at local middle schools and extracurricular programs
    • Develop additional connections at schools where we do not currently have a partnership
    • Coordinate the recruitment of incoming 9th graders across CoaH - Circuit Street and CoaH - Dudley Square, meeting each school’s annual enrollment targets
    • Engage with prospective students and families to encourage attendance at CoaH
    • Plan, facilitate, and attend all recruitment events, such as student tours, open houses, and admissions sessions at both CoaH - Circuit Street and CoaH - Dudley Square
    • Engage and train student ambassadors to participate in the recruitment process
    • Keep accurate tracker and records of key enrollment information in applicant/ enrollment database, including offers made, expiration of offers, waitlist, acceptances, etc.
    • Manage the processes surrounding school lotteries, including acting as administrator for our enrollment software, SchoolMint
    • Gather and track all necessary application related documentations

    Administrative and Office Support

    • Support and execute all annual and semi-annual school events, such as field trips, Report Card Night, service day, juries, and graduation
    • Create and maintain records of all student IDs in conjunction with the Office Manager
    • Provide coverage to opening and closing the front office
    • Support the School Operations Manager in maintaining all student, teacher, and testing schedules, including providing staff coverage
    • Execute other special projects and front office support as assigned by the School Operations Manager or Leadership Team member


    • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese required
    • 1-2 years’ project management/event planning experience
    • Flexibility with time, tasks, and schedule a must (some traveling required)
    • Belief that every student, regardless of background, can and must achieve high academic levels
    • A demonstrated interest in education and/or the non-profit sector
    • A demonstrated understanding of Boston neighborhoods and communities
    • Experience creating partnerships with a diverse group of organizations
    • Experience in data analysis and systems preferred
    • Detailed-oriented and strong follow-through skills
    • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and work independently
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Communicates well with others and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members; good sense of humor
    • Comfortable working independently and on a team
    • Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities preferred
    • Demonstrated commitment to superior customer-service
    • Enjoys working with children of all ages
