    City on a Hill Charter Public Schools (CoaH) seeks a passionate and relentless HR Coordinator to attend as key player of a collaborative HR Team and in partnership with schools and leadership. The HR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a seamless process for employees' on-boarding, tenure, and off-boarding experiences. CoaH is looking for a self-starter who will execute on a high volume of work.  This position will report to the Director of Human Resources, Diversity, & Inclusion.  

    Responsibilities

    Employee Onboarding, Offboarding, and Support

    • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources, Diversity, & Inclusion and the Recruitment Associate to ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding of new employees, including:
      • Processing onboarding paperwork, employment verifications, and post-employment notices
      • Coordinating background checks and fingerprinting with new hires
      • Creating new personnel files; ensure required documents are in place, filed, and recorded in accordance with CoaH and Massachusetts state requirements
      • Submitting requests to Operations and IT for new employee email, systems access, tech, keys, etc.
      • Assisting in the coordination of exit interviews and providing follow-up with the collection of pertinent equipment, etc.
      • Ensuring that employees are enrolled into selected benefits and retirement plans, and act as a liaison between employees and benefit broker to ensure that employee information changes are processed
      • Serving as the main point of contact for all staff’s HR inquiries

    HR Administration, Data, and Compliance

    • Coordinate annual HR-related professional development sessions and trainings across all CoaH locations
    • Oversee administration of employee surveys
    • Respond to requests for data and deliver appropriate analysis on an ad hoc basis
    • Interface with staff across all CoaH schools to collect required paperwork on current staff for data reports and files
    • Assist the Chief of Staff & General Counsel with compliance and internal/external audits by collecting and compiling data
    • Maintain data integrity of confidential personnel files and complete audits as necessary to ensure accurate and complete information is retained
    • Execute special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and/or Chief of Staff & General Counsel

    Qualifications

    • Experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Associate Degree
    • 1-3 years’ experience in HR/ administrative related functions
    • Working-knowledge of employee benefits and onboarding
    • Flexibility with time, tasks, and schedule a must (some traveling required)
    • Unwavering integrity and ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential employment information with discretion
    • Results-oriented team player who is dedicated to getting the job done
    • Highly organized; ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
    • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high-quality work in a dynamic environment
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills required to work with a broad group of stakeholders with different interests and needs
    • Ability to break down complex information into comprehensive elements, address uncertainties, synthesize, and analyze
    • Strong judgment and decision-making skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in using and managing Bamboo
    • Experience in nonprofit setting or K-12 education
