    Yamaha Unified Communications is currently seeking an HR Generalist. As key member of the management team, you will be expected to provide support in, but not limited to, employee relations, benefits administration, company events, talent acquisition, and employee development. You will be instrumental in driving initiatives to help grow the business and drive success. You will be held responsible for creating new HR initiatives, driving a new HR functional excellence, and providing new HR process. This role will report directly to the CEO of Yamaha UC.


    • Work collaboratively with the management team and our corporate HR team to create, support and drive a positive company culture through all departments
    • Work with managers and employees to investigate and resolve questions and concerns
    • Advise employees and managers on HR related policies, programs, and procedures 
    • Lead and administer the employee annual review and development program
    • Identify and arrange training needs for employee development
    • Research effectiveness of HR programs and propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve human resources effectiveness and operations
    • Maintain employee records / files and compile reports concerning data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, attendance, etc.
    • Administrative duties for the office including setting up customer/management meetings, ordering office supplies, etc.
    • Assist in the planning and coordination of office gatherings/events and holiday parties
    • Partner with our integrated HR provider to:
      • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
      • Provide guidance to the business’s management personnel through coaching, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions
      • Maintain work structure by ensuring job requirements and job descriptions are up-to-date for all positions.
      • Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
      • Manage bi-weekly payroll through ADP portal
      • Offer and administer competitive benefits in medical, dental, life insurance, 401K, etc. 
      • Help update or change benefit plan designs to remain competitive in the market
      • Maintain Employee Handbook and HR policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
      • Recruitment: source candidates, pre-screen, scheduling of interviews, administer and evaluate applicant tests, perform background checks, conduct reference checks, preparation of offer letters, etc. 
      • Perform new hire orientation and onboarding of new hires
      • Conduct exit interviews; processing any required paperwork


    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Able to report to US HQ in Sudbury, MA daily
    • Five years of experience in human resources generalist functions: recruiting, talent Acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, HR analytics, training, employment law, affirmative action, and HR implementation of policies and procedures
    • Experience in ADP (preferred)
    • Able to be self-directed and motivated to execute with minimal direction
    • Have previous experience with international HR support
    • Able to travel up to 10%

    • Prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
    • Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
