    We are currently seeking a Junior Benefits Analyst to join our growing Benefit Services team. The Junior Benefits Analyst is responsible for assisting the Manager of Benefit Services, with ensuring that all client needs pertaining to insurance and service plans are fulfilled.  The Junior Benefits Analyst performs duties within the areas of benefits such as group health, dental, life, LTD, STD, AD&D, vision, and more, as well as, providing training to junior level Benefit Analysts. 


    • Supports a variety of activities and simultaneous projects and tasks with continual problem/solution identification in a very fast-paced environment
    • Understands basic underwriting guidelines and benefit compliance guidelines
    • Supports the brokerage renewal process for our clients with oversight from Team Lead
    • Develop updated employee communication materials. Gather plan summaries, summary plan descriptions, brochures and memos
    • Gather and analyze data checking for reasonableness and accuracy of the output in conjunction with Team Lead and Benefit Analysts
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    • Maintain a good working relationship with insurance carriers and other outside representatives to ensure excellent communications and assistance with plan administration
    • Maintain awareness of market conditions, changes, and current legislation
    • Gathers HRA claims analysis
    • Continues to educate oneself on new aspects and areas of compliance in payroll, benefits and human resources as the opportunity arises
    • Work on special projects for clients if needed


    • Two-Year Degree or Equivalent relevant experience
    • At least 1 to 2 years of previous experience in HR or benefits is preferred, but not required
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, strong administrative and analytical skills.
    • Reliable with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt at prioritizing responsibilities and tasks to effectively meet deadlines
    • Personable, a good listener and can effectively communicate with all staff and client types through both written and verbal means
    • Works efficiently both independently and as a member of a larger team
    • Willing and flexible to help with any urgent issues that happen to arise at the company, even if they are outside the immediate scope of the role
