    Our client, Ampion, Inc., is a nationwide turnkey Software as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that manages business processes for renewable energy assets. Since being founded in 2014, their state of the art software and experienced team have been meeting the increasing demands for support in all things energy, regulatory analysis and customer acquisition.

     

    Ampion is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative operations. This individual will handle a variety of duties in a fast-paced startup environment, so a high energy level and strong multitasking skills are a must.

    Responsibilities

    Bookkeeping Responsibilities

    • Balance and maintain accurate accounting ledgers
    • Assist with the Accounts Payable/Receivable process, ensuring all respective payments are completed and received in a timely manner
    • Set up new vendors and clients in QuickBooks
    • Match purchase orders with invoices, pay invoices, and track account balances
    • Reconcile credit card and account transactions
    • Help to maintain the billing spreadsheet
    • Support check processing and check handling
    • Work with the billing team to develop financial and economic reporting to be used live in software production
    • Consult with the billing team on accounting fundamentals and review new billing processes for workability
    • Help to organize data collection for new customers
    • Perform quality assurance for the monthly billing process
    • Other duties or projects as assigned       

    Administrative Responsibilities

    • Greet all incoming visitors
    • Provide meeting support; prepare agenda, handouts, catering
    • Coordinate domestic and international travel; planning itinerary and logistics
    • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies  
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant experience
    • 2 or more years of experience in a bookkeeping or other accounting role
    • Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Index Matching and Visual Basic (VBA))
    • Previous experience with QuickBooks accounting software
    • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
    • High level of accountability and the ability to take the lead on tasks
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing prioritizes, effectively meeting deadlines
    • Excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, strong administrative and analytical skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to work with highly confidential material
    • Ability to interact with all levels of management to communicate opportunities and risks, and identify and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
