    The Human Resources Internship provides opportunities for students to gain knowledge and experience in various functions of the HR Industry. The right candidate will assist in the day-to-day support of our clients and internal staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist department (payroll, benefits, human resources, technology) with projects
    • Assist in answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate individuals
    • Assist in printing of New Hire Kits and Marketing Collateral
    • General administrative duties as needed
    • Provide technical support to employees as necessary with regard to non ADP related issues (i.e. network connectivity, printer connectivity, software issues (Microsoft Office Suite), the setup and/or relocation of work stations and/or phones)
    • Maintain the postage machine and an adequate stock of shipping supplies
    • Responsible for shipping packages via FedEx and the postage machine
    • Ensuring conference rooms are presentable at the beginning of each day
    • Set-up/break down conference rooms for company meetings (i.e., projectors, tables, design, etc.)
    • Provide support for the leadership team and assist with project development as needed

    Qualifications

    • Candidate should be pursuing a degree in a field related to human resources (human resources, management, business administration or other related field)
    • Possesses strong administrative skills, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail
    • Developed computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Has initiative, a willingness to learn, and strives for success
    • Exhibits a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
    • Reliable and meets all required deadlines
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at shifting focus quickly
    • Works efficiently both independently and as a member of a larger team
    • Personable, a good listener, and is able to effectively communicate with all staff and client types through both written and verbal means
    • Willing and flexible to help with any urgent issues that happen to arise at HR Knowledge, even if they fall outside the immediate scope of the Executive HR Assistant’s usual daily role at the firm
