    We are seeking a technically oriented Benefits expert to deliver high quality service to ensure that all client needs pertaining to insurance and service plans are fulfilled.  Must be able to understand and deliver high standards of accuracy and quality service within the areas of benefits such as group health, dental, life, LTD, STD, AD&D, vision, and more, as well as, providing training and support to junior level Benefit Analysts.  Strength in problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential. A key aspect of the job includes problem-solving and the development of sound, carefully thought-out solutions that minimize risk to the organization and our clients and utilize existing resources efficiently.



    • Manage a variety of activities and simultaneous projects and tasks with continual problem/solution identification in a very fast-paced environment
    • Understand the trends in the market, changes in compliance requirements for all size companies; know and understand the Affordable Care Act as it relates to our clients
    • Manage the brokerage renewal process for our clients
    • Perform research, data collection and analysis of benefit cost, utilization and trends for both regularly scheduled needs or on a project basis
    • Support Brokers during the benefits renewal and budgeting process with analytical data.
    • Develop updated employee communication materials, plan summaries, summary plan descriptions, brochures and memos
    • Manage renewal timeline to gather pertinent data from carriers to provide alternative plan offering to meet the financial objective of the client
    • Gather and analyze data, which requires the ability to use independent judgement, to check for reasonableness and accuracy of the output
    • Manage client expectations regarding renewal process and raise concerns to the Manager of Benefit Services when appropriate
    • Maintain a good working relationship with insurance carriers and other outside representatives to ensure excellent communications and assistance with plan administration
    • Maintain awareness of market conditions, changes, and current legislation
    • Functions as the analytical subject matter expert in strategy meetings with Broker
    • Negotiates with carriers throughout the RFP process
    • Conducts claims analysis and contribution modeling
    • Provides training as a subject-matter-expert to other Client Services team members on various topics
    • Schedule with Broker quarterly reviews of group insurance status, needs, and problem resolution



    • Four-year degree or equivalent relevant experience
    • At least 5 years of previous experience as a Benefits Broker/Analyst
    • Strong technical/analytical focus within established systems, standards, and procedures
    • Ability to communicate both internally and externally based on job knowledge and expertise
    • Effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire collective success.
    • Excellent organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, strong administrative and analytical skills

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
