HR Knowledge is a rapidly growing, premier provider of payroll, benefits brokerage, and HR consulting services to over 250 clients throughout New England. We are currently looking to add a motivated, experienced HR Coordinator to our fast paced HR Services Team.  This person will support HR Services and the Vice President of HR Services in a variety of HR tasks.  This role requires a high attention to detail, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and effective verbal and written communication with different client types.


  • Evaluation of client’s human resources plans and procedures; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manuals
  • Review and coordinate the client’s employment, employee/labor relations, personnel, and equal opportunity policies and practices
  • Responsible for assisting in the development of job descriptions and other personnel documents and forms
  • Provides clients with employee relations counseling and coaching
  • Perform client training on various HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures client’s compliance
  • Provides Federal and State legislation compliance guidance pertaining to all HR matters
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in daily tasks
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices
  • Deliver responses to requests received from clients through email and by phone in a timely manner, including but not limited to issues that are sensitive in nature
  • Work closely with VP of HR to ensure smooth transition and escalation of issues to ensure that all issues raised by clients are followed up as appropriate
  • Assist the VP of HR to develop scalable processes and procedures as they relate to the HR Services team providing exceptional customer service to our client
  • Participates in professional development sessions and trainings
  • Assists VP with the billing and reporting for various HR Services


  • 1-2 years’ experience in HR preferred but not required
  • Must have strong administrative skills, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to learn new technology quickly and easily
  • Must be willing to learn, have strong initiative, and a drive for success
  • Works efficiently both independently and as a member of a larger team
  • Personable, a good listener, and able to effectively communicate with all staff and client types through both verbal and written means
  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and is skilled at balancing multiple duties and conflicting deadlines.

  • Reliable and meets all required deadlines
  • Willing and flexible to help with any urgent issues that happen to arise at HR Knowledge, even if they fall outside the immediate scope of the usual daily role at the firm
