ICP Group is currently seeking an HR Generalist for their Phoenix, AZ location. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of human resource functions in Arizona, Minnesota, and future West Coast sites, as well as overseeing national recruitment. This position will encompass compliance, training, recruitment, HR policy and procedures, new hire onboarding, and regulatory compliance. You will act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.


  • Provide support to the ICP Construction staff and managers, as requested, as it relates to employee relations, training, and other HR areas
  • Responsible for inputting and maintaining updated employee information in the ADP payroll and HR database 
  • Reconciliation of all benefit invoices to ensure correct pricing and employee enrollment/participation 
  • Partner with and back-up the payroll administrator in the processing of all benefits and payroll; including the enrollment, changes and terminations of all participants 
  • Provide counsel, as needed, to staff on inquiries regarding policies and procedures, performance issues and employment law
  • Work with managers to develop accurate job descriptions, job postings and compensation ranges, which reflect the desired qualifications and skills for the target audience
  • Develop, execute, and update recruitment and retention strategies to consistently generate a pool of qualified job applicants
  • Screen resumes, coordinate, and conduct job interviews, both on the phone and in person, in order to assess candidates’ qualifications 
  • Manage recruitment process with outside recruiters
  • Administer all background, reference, education, criminal and drug testing protocols; coordinate hire dates, distribute New Hire Checklists and follow-up on all required documentation
  • Coordinate training for new hires and/or conduct training as appropriate for such topics as sexual harassment, ethics, safety, 401(k) Plans, etc.
  • Create and maintain all termination paperwork, ensuring timely distribution of all paperwork, forms, exit surveys, COBRA notifications, etc. 
  • Interface with vendors to ensure proper disposition of employee benefits occur in compliance with policies and procedures; maintain library of all Summary Plan Descriptions, amendments, plan documents and literature
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Three - five years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably with a multi-entity, national corporation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other relevant field preferred
  • Experience in full cycle recruitment process; including management of third party agencies and vendors to meet staffing needs
  • Direct experience with frequent mergers and acquisitions is preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices for recruitment and selection
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Solid interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience building relationships with employees at all levels
  • The ability to research, analyze and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes
  • Outstanding initiative and willingness to take on new projects and challenges
  • Strong organizational, communication and technical skills; ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customer of all levels
  • Ability to maintain data integrity through attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Experience identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions
  • Ability and willingness to travel to ICP Client sites in other states as needed
