Overview

Our client, Gurit, is a leading global supplier of composite materials, engineering services, tooling equipment, and select parts and systems.  With over 30 years experience in the practical application of composites across various market sectors and projects, from small parts to large-scale structures, combined with a unique technical approach enables Gurit to offer the complete composite solution. 

 

They are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for efficient transportation of outgoing and incoming products in accordance with international rules/regulations, coordinating storage and distribution, and ensure that sales orders are entered and fulfilled efficiently and correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Create and facilitate shipments to ensure timely delivery. This will include domestic, international, truckload, LTL and parcel.
  • Create and execute international and domestic shipment’s documentation with verification of tariff classifications, product descriptions, product values, country of origin and class of shipment. Solicit quotes and order transportation for order fulfillment, demonstration equipment, raw materials, etc.
  • Provide oversight and direction for contracted freight and warehouse operations. Develop logistics, standard operating procedures, reporting metrics and proposals for new services
  • Identify cost drivers for opportunities
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for shipping Support supply chain initiatives providing information on duties, taxes, freight and other costs where necessary.
  • Trafficking control of maritime and land transport
  • Verify order conformity before transferring to Customer Service.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers, brokers, carriers, customer service, transportation management and all other direct and indirect contacts on a daily basis. Present verbal and written information to management and external agencies in a clear and concise

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics and in custom conformity
  • International experience required
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and Freight Forwarder
  • High attention to detail and process oriented
  • Ability to effectively create and communicate through all means of communication
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and complete tasks thoroughly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Logical and critical thinking
  • Expert problem-solver
  • Ability to provide high level customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Able to analyze data and understand connections
  • Strong computer skills with Outlook, Word and Excel required
